To not confuse about brand name “Djarum” with a needle as meaning in english, this is a little bit story of Djarum Cigarillos manufacturing; is coming since the founder Oei Wie Gwan bought a nearly defunct cigarette company in Kudus, Central Java, Indonesia known as NV Murup, in 1951.
The brand is Djarum Gramophone (long-play records turn-table needle) then he shorted the name into Djarum or Needle.
This two children has effort so hard to developed the company because of the huge fire destroyed the factory at the same year before their father passed away.

Back to the Djarum Cigarillos, this is the first cigarillos produced by Djarum, because the blend uses of cloves and tobacco, it is to be a kretek cigarillos.
So, they made these cigarillos with the blend uses Javanese tobacco filler blended with the finest natural cloves and meticulously rolled in world-renowned Besuki binder and wrapper from the highlands of East Java.
The sizes are 4 inches long and 22 ring gauge. Packing by a paper box consists of six cigarillos.
