Considering the similar taste between Gudang Garam International and Gudang Garam Surya, personally I feel that it is ridiculous that the product has different imagery. However, if we look from the marketing point of view, perhaps the masculine image of Gudang Garam International is intended to draw more male smokers to be represented by the product. In the end, since cigarette ad cannot say clearly about the property of the product, all they could do is to play the imagery and underlying sense of the particular cigarette product.
