To celebrate and commemorate the coming Chinese Lunar New Year, Habanos, S.A. though their Asia distributors, Pacific Cigar Co. and Infifon HK Ltd., presents its new special production of Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8.
Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 it is a 6 1/10 inches long by 55 ring gauge vitola, packaged in eight count stylish Romeo red lacquered boxes, and the cigars are dressed with and additional foot band.

A vitola chosen to celebrate this event with an Edición Limitada. The Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 boxes package also unique, designed exclusively for the occasion that features the special engraving of a rat, the next Chinese New Year’s animal sign or Shio.
Named Maravillas 8, number “8” is considered an auspicious or “lucky” number in Chinese culture, this Cigar is sure to appeal directly to cigar enthusiasts from this part of the world and collector globally.
Maravillas is known as a “vitola de gallera”, that is the name typically given to the 55 ring gauge cigars by Habanos S.A.
The Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 uses a vitola size known as Maravillas No.3. that used in the Edición Limitada in 2012 under Montecristo 520 brands.
The cigar of Habanos made “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga” or totally by hand with Long-Filler, after a selection of wrapper, filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo area in the Pinal del Rio region.

China as the biggest population in world has been described as an expanding market for Habanos S.A. It has also been referred to by Habano S.A. as the second most important market next to Spain.
China also a country that can boast of having 5 Cohiba Atmosphere venues and 5 La Casa del Habano stores – including mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
Through Hong Kong Habano S.A. Expected the market will be spread out into Asia-Pacific region.
According to the Habanos Press Release, the presentation takes place at two different events on 13th and 14th November 2019 at The Kerry Hotel in Hong Kong.
On each day attended by 120 guests, that in the event the guests has an opportunity to taste this classic medium-strength Habano cigar.
The Romeo y Julieta brand has born in 1875, takes its name from the literary roman tragedy of the same title by the English writer William Shakespeare.
The brand rose to international fame during the early years of the 20th century under the management of Don “Pepin” Rodriguez, a talented promoter, who was amongst the first to recognize the power of the cigar band.
During his heyday not less than 20,000 different bands were used in production.
Winston Churchill was one of the Brand’s most devoted smokers and since his visit to Havana in 1946, his name not only been commemorated on a band but it has also served to describe the marquee’s most famous size – Romeo y Julieta Churchill.
