Imperial Tobacco Ownership
In 1910, Imperial Tobacco formed the Imperial Tobacco Company of India. In 1985, the company acquired the Peoples Drugstore chain and all subsidiaries from A. C. Israel.
In 1986 the Company was acquired by the conglomerate Hanson Trust plc for £2.5billion.
Davidoff possesses a superb reputation, providing a three year compound annual growth rate in volumes of 6 %.
For instance, in 2012 it volumes increased by 9 %, mostly boosted by the introduction of launch of Davidoff iD, a new king size cigarette range.
