Nugg Cigar

Cigar Review

One of the most anticipated cigars revealed at the 2019 IPCPR. After a year of development, the Nugg by Jas Sum Kral is finally here. These cigars are rolled in Nicaragua then shipped to a lab in Colorado for the infusion process.

The Nugg isn’t the first cigar to be infused with CBD oil, however it is the first premium cigar to feature the oil. The Nugg comes in two variations: An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with 20mg of CBD and a Mexican San Andres with 100mg of CBD.

The Jas Sum Kral Nuggs has a medium tan, silky smooth, practically vein-less wrapper leaf that exhibits a fine oily sheen. It is a solidly packed cigar with no soft spots from head to foot.

The seams are tight and a simple cap finishes the presentation. Ecuadorian Habano wrapper is potato skin brown with mottled streaks and spots area.  Firmly rolled at 4 ½ x 48 vitola and comes packaged in 25-count boxes..

Riste selected a vibrant teal and gold motif for the band on this project. It was a fine choice, as the band pops real well on the tan background of the Habano wrapper.

The band centers the gold Jas Sum Kral logo and identifies the cigar as the “NUGGS” on the bottom. The color combination is a break from the darker motifs he has used on previous blends.

The blend for the Jas Sum Kral Nuggs maduro is described as:

  • Wrapper: Equadorian Habano
  • Binder: Indonesian
  • Filler: Jalapa and Condega
  • Country of Origin: Nicaragua
  • Factory: Tabacalera Aragon S.A. Nicaragua
